So there will always be things I will spend money on: really pretty clothing that I could not possibly make myself; magazines, books, comics; and furniture. But there's a big red x marked on my calendar marking the last time I bought something out of habit, out of the desire to spend. For me, it will be a milestone when 30 days have past.

And to someone like me, who's had a history of relapses in sheer spending frenzy, and when I get the uncontrollable shakes when I do purchase something out of addiction, I'm proud to say it's been 15 days since I last purchased something that I didn't think about before hand, and wasn't part of the budget.

I know it's a small step, but for me, to be frugal, it is the most important.

Congratulations! That is really an achievement. My mom always told me it takes 30 days to break an old habit and make a new one so you're halfway there!
